Your hair follicles are only connected to the roots of your hair in the growth phase, following which the hair is pushed out of the body, eventually replaced by new hair growth, which starts the process again. Laser hair removal is only effective for the 20% of hair that’s in the active growth phase at any point.
The Venus Versa device uses SmartPulse technology to generate highly-calibrated wavelengths of intense pulsed light. The cosmetic provider targets the unwanted hair follicles with IPL energy — the hair pigment absorbs the laser energy, destroying the follicle completely. Procedure
Your cosmetic provider will calibrate the Venus Versa device according to your unique skin type, color, and goals. The skin on the treatment area should be shaved. The Venus Versa applicator will be moved on your skin to deliver IPL energy into the unwanted hair follicles. Frequency
Most patients need 6 to 10 sessions to achieve completely hair-free skin on the treatment area. As mentioned previously, hair grows in different stages and rates at different areas, and each session can only target the hairs in the active growth phase. Recovery
You may experience mild redness and itching on the skin after the treatment, but there are no major side effects or complications.
