Upneeq (oxymetazoline hydrochloride ophthalmic solution) is the world’s only FDA-approved prescription eyedrops for blepharoptosis, i.e., low-lying lids. If you have low-lying eyelids that affect your confidence, making you look tired or sleepy, this prescription medicine can lift your upper eyelids and open up your eyes. This is an ongoing treatment, so you have to take a daily drop of Upneeq to maintain the results.
What is Upneeq?
Lid Lift Corrects:
Acquired blepharoptosis, also known as acquired ptosis or low-lying lids. This is a condition wherein your upper eyelids droop down, making you look old, tired, or sleepy. In some cases, excessive ptosis may also reduce your visibility. Upneeq lifts your upper eyelids, improving your vision and confidence.
How it Works
Upneeq is an FDA-approved medicine that contains oxymetazoline hydrochloride, a vasoconstrictor that induces the contraction of the Müller’s muscle, which is responsible for opening the eyelid. One drop of Upneeq engages the Müller’s muscle, creating an upper eyelid lift that lasts for approximately 6 hours.
Benefits of Upneeq Lid Lift:
- Non-invasive — no needles, incisions, or scarring
- No pain or discomfort
- No harsh side effects or complications
- Lifts the upper eyelids
- One drop per day to maintain results
- Improve confidence and self-esteem
- Improve visibility
- No downtime or recovery period
Your Upneeq Lid Lift Journey
Upneeq lid lift is a simple treatment consisting of a daily dose of the prescription Upneeq medicine. Our medical providers will examine your eyes, discuss your goals, and review your medical history to determine if you’re a suitable candidate for the medicine. If you have acquired ptosis, the medical provider will prescribe the Upneeq medicine.
You have to take one dose of Upneeq per day, as advised. It will start working almost immediately — the results start appearing within 5 minutes, with continued improvements for 15 minutes. That means your upper eyelid is lifted within 15 minutes of taking medicine. The results last for 6 to 10 hours — it differs from one patient to the next.
The most common side effects are eye inflammation, eye redness, blurred vision, and eye irritation for a few minutes or hours, but there are no major complications. Although the results dissipate after 6 to 10 hours, you must not take another dose of Upneeq — only one dose per day. Please follow your doctor’s recommendations for use.
