Collagen is a protein. There are over 20 types of collagen. Bellafill use creates types l & lll. We are born with a finite amount of elastic fibers, but collagen fibers are easily made with different rejuvenation modalities.
Tiny PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres are suspended in smooth bovine collagen gel. This matrix will improve acne scars to lift them & create a smoother appearance. Fixing volume losses as well to cheeks, jawlines, chins, & nasolabial folds. These microspheres begin to build the scaffolding to bring back the youthfulness you remember.
We require a full consultation & test dose prior to your treatment. After 1-2 wks, if the test area proves to be negative(no irritation present) we may proceed with treatment.
Initially, Bellafill is injected & you may see immediate results for volume loss. There will be possible bruising, swelling, & redness that could happen. Plan your treatment around your social calendar.
Over the next 8-12 weeks this collagen remodeling & building continues. The collagen gel dissipates & migrates in and around the PMMA particles.
The results? A semi-permanent 5-7 year result that you will love. Results do vary & you may require additional treatments or maybe even the use of laser(s) to assist you in reaching your goals. Whatever the case may be, we will be with you through the journey.
